CLEAR ANSWERS

Reference points before you begin.

ABYSS sessions are exclusively dry; calm breaks are without breath-holding, and an account remains optional for practice on your device.

THE PRACTICE

Breath-holding and calm breaks.

Can I practise in water?

No. ABYSS breath-hold sessions are for dry practice only, seated or lying down in a safe setting. Never in water or while driving.

Do calm breaks include breath-holding?

No. They use natural breathing, without breath-holding. They remain separate from the breath-hold programme.

What is the comfortable reference?

RC is a comfortable breath-hold reference validated through calibration. It is not a record to beat. A single exploration or a free breath-hold is not enough to validate it.

What if the session becomes difficult?

Stop immediately if you feel anything unusual. For an ordinary interruption, follow the player instructions, then report how the session felt. Recovery stays the priority.

THE PROGRAMME

Pace and adjustments.

What programme lengths and schedules are available?

Programmes last 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 weeks, with 2, 3 or 4 sessions a week.

Does feeling calmer change the breath-hold duration?

No. Optional calm tracking and difficulty feedback are independent. Calm never increases breath-hold durations on its own.

Can I do several exercises in a day?

An additional exercise requires a warning and confirmation that you feel well. Safety locks and the 60 active-minute ceiling, excluding rest, still apply. You do not need to reach that ceiling.

Should I make up a missed session?

No. Return at your pace. Do not combine sessions to compensate and keep your recovery days.

YOUR SPACE

The account and Journal.

Is an account required?

No. Guest mode keeps data on your device. An account lets you find it on several devices after synchronisation.

What do the two Journal curves show?

Validated RC in seconds and self-reported calm on five levels. The scales are distinct. RC stays at the same step between validations, and missing measurements are never invented.

Does sound always work when an iPhone is on silent?

Sound depends on the browser and device settings. It is not guaranteed in iPhone silent mode. Enable guidance and check the sound before starting a session.

What happens if the network is lost?

Data is saved locally first. Synchronisation resumes after reconnection. A conflict between devices requires explicit resolution to avoid overwriting a recent save.
