ESSENTIAL REFERENCE POINTS

Safety is part of every session.

ABYSS breath-hold sessions are for dry practice only, seated or lying down in a safe setting, without hyperventilation; stop immediately if you feel anything unusual.

RULES WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS

Dry. In a safe place. Without forcing.

Exercises with breath-holding remain exclusively dry static breath-hold exercises.

Never in water

Do not transfer these sessions to a pool, bath, the sea or a shower. The diver photograph represents the brand, not the training conditions.

Seated or lying down

Settle in a safe setting. Do not practise while driving, moving around or doing an activity that requires your attention.

No hyperventilation

Do not speed up your breathing to prepare for a breath-hold. Follow the natural breathing instructions.

Stop immediately

An unusual sensation or symptom requires an immediate stop. Do not try to finish the segment or reach a duration.

THE LIMITS OF BREATH-HOLDING

Dry does not mean risk-free.

Being out of water does not remove the risks of breath-holding. An app does not replace training or qualified supervision. The protocols require professional review before public release.

Understand the risks of hyperventilation

An explanation from Divers Alert Network. This source does not validate ABYSS protocols.

REST MATTERS

Respect breaks and safety locks.

The daily ceiling of 60 active minutes, excluding rest, is a maximum limit, not a recommendation. Counters keep exercises that have been started. Changing accounts does not remove symptom or recovery locks.

TWO DISTINCT PRACTICES

A calm break stays free of breath-holding.

Natural breathing breaks are identified separately. Feeling calmer never increases breath-hold duration on its own.

BEFORE PUBLIC RELEASE

Qualified review is still needed.

Breath-hold protocols and precautions must be reviewed by a qualified professional before breath-hold testing. This review is still pending. The information on this page does not constitute professional validation of the protocols.
